Amalia Koundourakis Soares

Director of Studies and English Instructor

Amalia Koundourakis Soares is known for her warm, engaging, and highly supportive teaching style that helps students feel confident and capable from the very first lesson. Fluent in English, Greek, Romanian, and Portuguese, she brings over two decades of experience working with learners from diverse cultural backgrounds. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from York University and a CELTA certification from the University of Cambridge.
 

Throughout her career, Amalia has helped countless young people not only improve their English communication skills but also make significant progress in their academic writing. Many of her students arrive struggling to organize ideas or express themselves clearly on paper, and leave with strong, structured writing abilities and a much clearer voice in English. Parents and students often highlight noticeable improvements in school performance, confidence, and overall expression.
